Story Title: The Third Church Days
By: Jim Eaton
I remember your mother from the days at Third Christian Church when your dad was minister 47 or so years ago. Your mother had the gentle southern accent of a gracious lady. I still remember and have used in sermons myself his most memorable Christmas — 1944 at the Battle of the Bulge, which is in the history books about WW II now. For this time let me share my special words of comfort for the families of departed Christians, a promise from Jesus himself: “Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.”
